Put another way the Terminal Activity is partially hidden from "first time users". -- Terminal Activity can be opened from the F3, Home view, **_List view_**, or you can expose it in Favorites view, as described here. -- Press the function key F3, or Home view key ![](./images/F3zoom_.png). --- At top right of Home view, Favorites, click **List view**. ![](./images/13.png) --- Here is F3, Home view, _**List view**_. ![](./images/14.png) **Scroll down ...** --- Scroll down the list of Activities, till you see Terminal Activity near the foot of the page. ![](./images/14_.png) --- Right click Terminal Activity icon then click **Make favorite**. ![](./images/15.png) --- To return to Favorites view, ![](./images/16.png) click on the **Favorites view** button on the top right of the screen. -- Notice that there is a Sugar hotkey for this, **Ctrl+1.** --- Start Terminal Activity with a click on the icon. ![](./images/17.png) --- Terminal Activity, ready ![](./images/21.png) -- The flashing cursor sits at the end of a short piece of text.
